【明報專訊】千呼萬喚，第一個位於中國的迪士尼樂園今日正式揭幕。這個由籌備到建成，足足花了6年時間完成的樂園，[b]將由國家副主席曾慶紅主持盛大的開幕儀式[/b]，逾1.6萬名賓客將於下午入場「先玩為快」。
近日天氣持續不穩，今日會間中有驟雨，昨日樂園更受籠罩東涌的煙霞影響，令睡公主城堡像被一塊薄紗蓋着。這個耗資逾200億元的樂園，能否在晴朗中開展夢幻之旅，並克服設施故障等問題，讓賓客盡興而歸，將成為今日的焦點。
香港迪士尼樂園[b]今日上午11時半舉行開幕典禮後，下午1時便會正式開放給公眾入場[/b]。在睡公主城堡前舉行的樂園開幕禮，亦是迪士尼樂園慶祝50周年慶典的高潮，華特迪士尼總公司兩大巨頭，候任總裁羅伯特．艾格及下月離任的總裁艾斯納將親臨慶典，與特地到港出席開幕禮的國家副主席曾慶紅，以及[b]行政長官曾蔭權主持典禮，並會有25,000名嘉賓到場祝賀[/b]。

純美式文化的迪士尼樂園和中國的風水學似乎八竿子打不著關係，不過在即將開幕的香港迪士尼樂園中，卻處處顯露出入境隨俗風水佈局，[b]香港媒體報導說，香港迪士尼樂園及兩間酒店的正門不僅座向有利方位，而且利用大量流水格局，希望為樂園帶來滾滾財源。此外，樂園也依照中國傳統，選擇吉日吉時正式開張。[/b]
一位著名風水堪輿師表示，九九年時已有相關人士邀請他為樂園建築基地看風水，樂園過去幾年每有新建築落成也都會請他去看。
這位風水師盛讚樂園設計，他首先認同米老鼠噴泉能聚積財富，而且阻擋通往樂園的直路，有利氣的流通。另外，樂園坐落位置背山面海，地理位置絕佳且格局優良，可積聚最大的風水能量。

源自美國的香港迪士尼樂園，雖然處處顯露出美國文化，但入鄉隨俗，樂園內的設計及布局均經過風水大師的精心設計，充滿玄機。香港迪士尼樂園及兩間酒店的正門不僅座向有利方位，而且利用大量流水格局，希望「水為財」令樂園生意滾滾來。此外，樂園更依足中國傳統，根據通勝擇日及吉時正式開張。迪士尼樂園亦正打算公開為樂園提供風水布局意見的堪輿學家蘇民峰的正印身份。
著名風水堪輿家蘇民峰表示已獲樂園邀請十二日出席開幕禮，但他表示不會參與任何儀式，他承認九九年時已有「特別人士」邀請他為竹篙灣做環境評估，而樂園過去數年每有新建築落成都會請他去「睇𣈳」。
蘇民峰盛讚樂園設計，他首先認同米奇老鼠噴泉能聚積財富，而且阻擋通往樂園的直路，有利「氣」的流通。另外，樂園坐落位置背山面海，地理位置絕佳且格局優良，可積聚最大的風水能量。
蘇民峰又指出，樂園正門坐落貫通南北的位置，而兩間酒店的西南方皆向海，可收聚財之效。根據風水學，地運每二十年會轉一次。由○四年起，凡地的西南方有水，即可確保該地在未來二十年內都有財運。
蘇民峰表示，遊客可配合迪士尼樂園獨有的風水元素，因應新曆的出生日期分辨自己屬寒命人（八月八日至翌年三月六日）、平命人（三月七日至五月五日）或是熱命人（五月六日至八月七日）。他指出，寒命人需「木」、「火」，衣幵顏色以青、綠、紅、橙、紫較有利，購買紀念品可選衣服及塑膠製品，並可先遊「明日世界」；熱命人則要「金」、「水」，衣幵顏色以白、金、銀、黑、灰、藍較佳，紀念品可選徽章，並可先玩「森林河流之旅」及「瘋帽子旋轉杯」等；平命人則五行均可，但較傾向熱命人的特質。不過，若巿民一年只進入樂園一次半次，則作用有限。
處處瀑布望豬籠入水
負責設計香港迪士尼的華特迪士尼幻想工程副總裁及執行創作發展總監莫里棟（Tom Morris）透露，很多港人深信中國傳統風水學說，認為可影響公司的運作，為此樂園在「明日世界」及「白雪公主許願洞」等景點特別建設多個瀑布，入口亦建有銅製米奇老鼠噴泉，希望多個流水擺設可令樂園「豬籠入水」。
莫里棟又指出，為取得好意頭，香港迪士尼特別按通勝內開張、宴會及搬屋的吉日指示，挑選九月十二日作開幕日子。樂園四周亦布滿幸運號碼，包括中式酒樓內布置有二千二百三十八朵蓮花，取其「易易生發」之意；舉行婚禮的宴會廳，其面積是八百八十八平方米；而兩間酒店都沒有四樓，避其「死」字諧音。另一處有趣的地方是，除高飛狗頭頂外，遊客在樂園內不會看到綠色的帽子。

萬眾期待的香港迪士尼樂園終於擇定開幕的良辰吉日。據報道，迪士尼有限公司總裁兼營運總監羅伯特(RobertIger)在香港的員工內部會議上透露，香港迪士尼將定於[b]明年的十月十四日[/b]正式開幕。
一直以來，迪士尼公司的官方發言人均把香港迪士尼樂園的開幕日期定於○五年底至○六年初。但據《亞洲華爾街日報》報道，正在訪港的羅伯特在一內務會議上表示，明年十月十四日將是正式開幕的日子。報道引述與會者稱，雖然開幕的正式日期或會“提早或延遲”，但他已經知會港府十月十四日(星期五)，將是開幕吉日。
香港迪士尼樂園公共事務總經理王詠嫻對有關報道則不作任何評論。她再次重申，香港迪士尼的開幕日仍然訂於○五年底至○六年初，暫無新的公佈。而現時工程進度良好，一切按原定計劃進行。
明年迪士尼樂園確是喜事重重。華特迪士尼樂園及度假區總裁羅思樂日前出席香港總商會酒會時表示，香港迪士尼樂園開幕，正值全球首個設於美國加州安納漢的迪士尼創立五十週年紀念，美國、巴黎、東京和香港將會破天荒舉行大型慶祝活動。
出席同一場合的羅伯特亦透露，現時有五千人應徵五百個“文化大使”職位，競爭十分激烈。迪士尼公司會積極開拓亞洲市場，除了在印度和亞洲區內推出新迪士尼頻道，亦會爭取頻度在珠三角的落地權，進一步打入中國內地市場。
香港迪士尼樂園由香港特別行政區政府與華特迪士尼公司，共同成立的合營公司“香港國際主題公園有限公司”負責興建和營運。公司股本總值五十七億，當中特區政府注資三十二點五億元，迪士尼則注資二十四點五億。(中新網)

我對香港迪士尼便不看好了, 以自己為例, 本來計劃約一大班朋友租用迪士尼裏的酒店來遊玩多天, 但因負面新聞太多 ( 食物中毒, 職員無禮, 餐廳坐位不足, 遊戲需要大排長龍等等..... ) 已打消前往的念頭。

我不瞭解迪士尼是否在佛羅里達和加州有絕對的權力. 因為我不住在東南部或西岸. 在法國的迪士尼做壞了, 法國人自豪, 反美. 一開始有點 surprise 迪士尼挑選法國.
我只知道由美國印地安人所擁有的賭場享受很多權利. 他們有雙重的公民身分: 美國公民和自己部落的公民身分. 有部落的法律 (as a separate nation within America). 不需要向美國政府支付賭場盈利稅. 理由是印地安人是原住民, 美國要彌補對佔領印地安人土地的損害.

兄的圖，很informative，尤其是飛機上拍那張。
Disney 一向專霸，知不知道，在美國，其樂園中的宿舍，也建得和英國中時代的建築風格一抹一樣，甚至員工穿著也得依！幾年前，它卷入訴訟就是與其霸道有関。其實這幾年來，美國樂園的盈利已不如前。近年的許多新卡通電影如Shrek, Bug's life 就是針諷 Disney 的完美主義作風，其製作班底還是以前在 Disney 的革命分子。這兩部電影，寓意很深呢 ....

法國的迪士尼其實不差的，玩機動遊戲所需要等候時間約15分鐘，美國迪士尼耍等約30分鐘，日本迪士尼要等上 45分鐘以上，香港那個呢，據說排一小時隊巳經是最快了。
好像各國的迪士尼也有特權，美國的消防員是不能進入迪士尼的，但得到准許例外 :em03:

香港的消防員肯定可以進入香港迪士尼呢。我的朋友在那兒軴守了一段時間，開幕前也有做過幾次drill呢。
不過，到實際有火災的時候，迪士尼工作人員會不會要求消防員穿上唐老鴨裝才可以拉喉救火我就不得而知啦。 :em01:

[b]The more incidents of arrogance and insensitivity they uncover, the more they assume that a mogul is an ineffective leader.[/b] Consider the recent frenzy of items about Michael Eisner, which ended in his announced resignation from Disney. [b]It will be recalled that Eisner alienated a host of would-be moguls—including Jeffrey Katzenberg (whom he called a "midget"), Michael Ovitz (whom he called a "psychopath"), Roy Disney (whom he kicked off the board), and Harvey Weinstein (whom he forced out of Miramax). [/b]These men, by one means or another, yielded an El Dorado of gotcha items to the press. What was lost in this morality tale was the story of Eisner's transformation of Disney. In 1984, when Eisner took command, the "Mouse House" produced only one animated picture every three to five years. Its entire film library had only 158 features, and its single cable channel, the Disney Channel, lost money. In addition, Disney had virtually no income from sales of videos. To keep afloat, the company depended on its amusement parks and its Mickey Mouse licensing. Yet even with these assets Disney had a tax-free cash flow of just $100 million. Its share price, reflecting this precarious financial position, was $1.33 (adjusted for splits).
In 2005, Disney was one of the richest companies in America. Its enterprise value—Wall street's favored measure of an entertainment company—had increased 32-fold since 1984 and stood at $69 billion. Its tax-free cash flow had increased 29 times, to $2.9 billion. Its film library had grown to 900 features, which were licensed on TV and sold on video and DVD, and its home-entertainment division accounted for nearly one-third of the revenues of the entire industry. Its share price, reflecting this robust health, had risen to $28.25.
Eisner's success becomes even more impressive when compared with his peers. Between 1984 and 2005, TimeWarner wrote off $99.7 billion; Vivendi-Universal, $40.6 billion; Viacom, $21.2 billion; News Corporation, $7.2 billion; and Sony, $2.7 billion. Among the six companies ("the sexopoly") that now dominate the TV industry, Disney alone did not write off any loss during this time.
How did Eisner succeed in adding $65 billion in enterprise value to Disney at a time when his rivals were faltering? Having come from television, Eisner saw that Disney's future would be in home entertainment—not in movie theaters.
Consider just two decisions he made that brought about this corporate transformation. The first came in the mid-'80s. At the time, Disney studio executives (including Katzenberg) were arguing that to release the company's beloved animated movies on video cassette would kill any profits to be made from re-releasing them in theaters. Eisner perceived the situation differently, and he put the videos into stores. Within a few years, video sales were providing almost all the profits for Disney's movie division and, by 2004, Disney raked in $6 billion from videos and DVDs sales.
The second decision came in 1995, when Eisner bought his old alma mater, Capital Cities/ABC, for $19 billion. With this single coup, Disney got not only the ABC network and TV stations, it also got 80 percent of a sports network, ESPN. Since the cable operators needed this sports network to attract subscribers, Disney charged them a "carriage fee" just for the right to intercept its satellite signals. Disney was able to ratchet up this charge, which is effectively a tax on cable households, by 20 percent a year, getting as much as $2 a month for every subscriber signed up by cable operators.
With the success of ESPN, Disney gained such enormous leverage over the entire cable industry that, in 2004, the company earned a record $1.94 billion in bottom-line operating income from its cable channels alone. To put this number in perspective, it was nearly triple the $662 million Disney earned from all its movie production and distribution, stage plays, records and music publishing, television library sales, videos, and even its booming DVDs (which accounted for about 80 percent of the $662 million).
These numbers did not go unnoticed by the fund managers who controlled two-thirds of Disney shares. As it became increasingly clear that Eisner had hit the jackpot with ESPN, these fund managers focused more and more on Eisner's inability to convert the enormous appreciation of Disney's assets into a stock-market payoff. One way to bring about that payoff would be to install new management who were willing to sell assets—even ESPN. Although Disney's shares had increased by 10.6 percent since 2001—which was a better performance than most of Disney's rivals—that was not enough to satisfy investors. In March 2004, 43 percent of shareholders voted to withhold their support from Eisner. This vote further fueled the bad publicity, and Eisner picked Robert Iger to be his successor. Fittingly, Iger headed Disney television, and he should continue Disney's transformation into a home-entertainment empire.

Yes Disney Networks is very profitable. The Disneyland however was a different story. However, I think Eisner found a way to work that out now. Push it to Asia. A trick probably learn from Coke.
In US, soft drinks are now slowly phased out from schools. Its OK, Asians do not know. So push it there.

這個Disneyland 似乎犯了小人，由一開始填海就己經被批評破壞自然環境，到開幕前試玩，又帶來不少的批評聲音，到目前還有人告迪士尼樂園，是非不知何時才停止下來。

迪士尼員工二手飯充飢

【本報訊】香港迪士尼樂園帶給遊人歡笑與夢想，但歡笑背後卻有不為外人道的辛酸淚，有任職樂園餐廳的員工批評樂園編更制度極差，朝早十時便要員工吃午飯，然後一直工作到晚上，員工抵不住肚餓，惟有在替客人清理餐桌後，乘機把吃剩的二手飯急急送進口中。　記者：謝穎詩

該名員工表示，原本在海洋公園扮演「威威獅令」，一心轉工扮迪士尼卡通人物逗小朋友開心，怎知卻被安排到餐廳工作。他說：「細個時候去過日本迪士尼，好開心，所以我好想扮迪士尼卡通人物，點知道被人調做餐廳，重做得好辛苦，又經常見到同事後台喊。」

「到家重記得」
他批評園內編更混亂，「有次朝早十點三就編我食飯，咁早點會食得落飯，日做到夜晚八點幾就好肚餓，有個客碗咖喱飯只係食少少，我咪偷偷地食碗飯另一邊，到家我重記得碗咖喱飯真係好好味。」他希望捱滿一年後，可申請轉扮卡通人物。
另外，亦有員工透露，不少人已捱不住辭工了，估計到十二月遊客最多的時候，將會是離職高期，因為曾到美國受訓的員工，在合約期滿後將不續約。五百多名在美國受訓的員工原本最有經驗，但卻不被本地主管接受，更要求他們把在美國學回來的一切忘掉。「美國，樂園好忙時候，經理全部落手落腳同我一齊做，但香港，佢唔會做，但人手又唔夠，做得好辛苦。」

職工盟籲組工會
職工會聯盟昨聯同獵奇行動六名成員，在樂園員工大樓門口派發傳單，呼籲員工成立工會。職工盟下月將與樂園集團總裁羅彬深會面，討論有關問題。
香港迪士尼樂園強調員工士氣高漲，亦尊重員工組織工會的自由，但認為現時由公司直接和員工溝通是最好方法。

(星島日報報道)迪士尼主題公園開幕第十七日，昨發生首宗遊客死亡事件。一名自小移民新加坡的香港婦人，與兒媳重遊香港，往迪士尼遊覽主題公園，婦人在等候看煙花表演期間不適，返回酒店休息後，病情急轉直下暈倒，由救護車送院急救後不治。
　　一名離港近七十年的新加坡華僑老婦，昨遊迪士尼主題公園時病發，送院搶救後死亡。女死者英文姓名Neg，八十二歲，原是香港居民，十餘歲便隨家人移居新加坡，在當地結婚生子，已兒孫滿堂。她原計畫遊港後，到美國探望女兒，如今母女陰陽相隔。
　　其家人稱，該老婦闊別香港七十年，由於迪士尼主題公園本月開幕，她慕名回港遊迪士尼公園，順道探親，家人遂如其願，由兒媳陪返港。
　　其子稱，母親患多種老人病，如高血壓、糖尿病等。她來港前曾接受醫生檢驗，認為適合搭飛機及遊迪士尼公園，但不能玩機動遊戲機，醫生並給予隨身藥物，預防老人病發作。
　　Neg與兒媳，及一群新加坡親友，四日前來港旅遊。他們在港探親兼懷舊兩日後，昨午入住迪士尼好萊塢酒店。之後，Neg與兒媳進入迪士尼公園遊玩，老婦年老多病，唯有依照醫生指示，沒有玩機動遊戲機，只在園內散步，欣賞迪士尼風光﹔兒媳一直在旁相伴。
　　其子稱，一家人原欲看煙花表演後才離開，遂在公園內隨處散步。約晚上八時，Neg突覺頭暈感不適，兒媳不敢久留，即時把她扶返酒店房間，讓她休息。不料，老婦病情急轉惡化陷昏迷，其子通知酒店職員代報警，把老婦送院，救護員沿途為老婦急救，送院後她告不治。
　　迪士尼主題公園發言人表示，一名外籍華裔女子昨午入住迪士尼酒店，晚上在房間感不適，通知酒店職員報警，召救護車把該女子送院，至於該女子情況未明。
　　另外，一對持雙程證父女任X明（七十六歲）及任X兒（四十二歲），專程來港遊覽迪士尼主題公園，昨午入場玩樂，至傍晚六時，天色昏暗，任父迷路走失，女兒尋父不獲，晚上近八時向職員求助，直至九時清場後，該對父女重聚。

You use the term "test-run", that's precisely the point. Test-run does not equal official opening date (or birthday). [b]Otherwise, what is your logic for using the word "Test-run"?[/b]

"Test-run" denotes "experiment", "trial testing", "work-in-progress". If you were a civil engineer, wouldn't you want to "test-run" a bridge or tunnel before the official opening date for public safety reasons. Likewise, there are games and machines in Disney that demand the same.

I know some restaurants in the East Coast have "soft" opening dates (i.e. open only to special family members or friends in "Trial period" before the "Official" opening date).

1. People were paying money to get into the playground, if you do not know.
2. There were over 20k ppl getting into the playground every weekend before the "official opening" (in earlier time, it's several thousands only), and should be several thousands for weekdays.
3. There were fireworks everynite before official opening date.

The theory of 八字 is of course applicable but one has to be careful here as applying it on a person's birthday and 日課 are different variation of the theory.
Both the trial run and opening ceremony has their significance or possibly different priorities. From the location of certain elements and sequence of events, I almost would speculate that the whole arrangement implied a compromise between Feng Shui and Disney's business practice. I won't be able to prove it unless insiders leak out the whole project events.

There is no free lunch. Don't be so naive. Do you really expect to get in for free at "test-run"? Disney is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange - it is working for its shareholders, not for parents with children.
At the "soft" openings of restaurants and clubs in the East Coast, try to ask the bartenders for free alcohol and drinks. Let see what they'd tell you. FYI, unlike Italy where wine is cheaper than water, wine and alcohol are quite expensive in the East Coast.

Hello Rainbow, I know what trial-run is, and I know the situation in europe that beer is cheaper than water. I was one of the ppl who participated in one day of the trail-run.
What I wanna say that is similar to what 借風 just said. As the test-run is just like normal operation, how's the weighting of the so-called "official opening" ? It shares some kind of similarity that:
When u report to work on the first day, you need a probation period of 3 months. After the probation period ends, you are now "officially" been a permanent employee. so, you picks both the start date of the probation period, and the 1st date of the start of the permanent contract, or something else? It affects the whole period (career), or just that date?
A minor point:
funny that, so far, no one says that I am naive. you are the 1st one.
basically, I know the following a bit, definitely not to expert level:
八字, 紫微斗數, 易數, 奇門遁甲, 六壬, 六爻, 占星, 風水, 择日, 气功,
佛学, christianity, china history;
computer programming, investment management, financial modeling (derivatives, exotic products), AI (like neural-network);
some banking (investment, retail, corporate) operations, some billing operations, some industrial operations;
simple painting, chinese writing, chess;
One weak point could be that I don't like read newspaper since I have grown up. I read newspaper since I was P.5. Now I usually read news on TV, or read foreign news thru internet.
And, I have been in the business world for quite some years, business with commercial, non-commercial insitutes, covering not only HK. May I ask you how I can improve my naiveness?

Maybe the misunderstanding started when Stevie said people here thought that 9.12 was the birthday. Actually, here no one has implied that because 日課 is not the equivalent of birthday. 日課 is just a general term for special or auspicious day chosen for an occasion e.g. wedding, opening ceremony, etc.
From 風水角度,there are different school of thoughts for whether the soft launch of the official opening is more important. But hey in this forum, what is good is we can put these schools differences aside and just look at both dates in an more objective manner.

what 第 6 樓 said is implicitly treating the opening date as the birthday.
and, as I said before, the so-called test-run were no much different from the open ceremony. So many ppl everyday, fireworks in the nite. As it does not really standing out from the other days, in my opinions, the opening date will affect that day, or a few days only.

講咁多風水都冇用,迪士尼開幕至今問題多多,臭名遠播,惹人反感.
話到迪士尼風水點好...衰咗啦
不論風水格局,單論香港迪士尼之面積,已經定下先天死穴,去過其他迪士尼
嘅人都有得比較,一比就知香港迪士尼揸流攤, 至少我被邀請出席之後,都媽
聲四起,唔駛錢都費事浪費時間再去.
第二,迪士尼嘅遊戲同以前荔園有幾大分別?除咗打進外國佬名牌外,似乎
冇乜分別,同海洋公園比都仲爭幾皮,加上收費貴,再加上大量大陸遊客
令到地方有點像去了深圳,廣州.不守規矩,髒亂的情況時有所見,反感度
加多幾分..
而家就算賴布衣翻生,佢都冇計用風水攪好香港迪士尼生意,甚至
滅亡嘅危機呀

I don't recall Mr. 緣生 made any specific judgement on HK Disney's feng shui. He just opened up this topic for open discussion amongst members in this website.
