David Ortiz, 24, of Brooklyn, was heading east in a black Honda Accord on the Grand Central Parkway at 3:10 a.m., with his 21-year-old girlfriend, Viviana Perez, at his side and friend Jamie Domenech, 24, also of Brooklyn, in the back seat.%1A{

Dozens of shocked friends and family members gathered at the hospital, where they held vigil for the young woman and remembered Ortiz as a "sweet man" who had a steadying influence on the party-loving Perez.%JQK
