it's funny  that i incline to have the opposite point of view-P
there's more "void" (空) in Chinese culture. i see such "void" as freedom, i.e. more space to 發揮.z"
western culture/philosophy has so much more to do with logic and reasoning. such way of thinking can lead to the consequence of those poor bees  .|/A%)t

nevertheless, i would still agree to your point for degenerate Chinese culture can be doctrinal, though i find western education may bring up active kids who are always ready to express but think too logically.{+
